Default WHOA, how'd that happen??

Post your most outrageous moments in gaming, any kind of anecdote works.

To start things off, and something recent, I have one that benefits me and one that doesn't. They both relate to COD4 (yes, it is my drug until I reach level 55)

Go me!: The level is Downpour. For those that don't know, it has 2 mounted machine guns on each end, one has a significant tactical position compared to the other. In any case, I spawned on the team with the better MG (Spetsnaz) and the match began. So I think "What the hell" and go for it and just keep the trigger down while spreading bullets downrange. I got a kill, then another, then a third. This got me a UAV recon (allows my team to see opponents on the map) Keep going, got three more, which gave me an airstrike (which killed about 2 more) which in turn gave me access to the fabled chopper support. And as my copter rained death on the other team, I kept racking up kills with the MG. 10 killstreak, holy shit. 15 killstreak, OH MY GOD THE POWER. I got one more kill in, and then got fragged But all of this in the space of like 2-3 minutes, I was over the moon!

What the foxtrot?: Again COD4, and this still infuriates me when remembering it. I died 5 times in the space of 30 seconds. First time was a regular kill, nothing major. Respawn, walk two steps, grenade lands at my feet and KABOOM! Oh well, shit happens. Respawn, in front of an enemy (uh oh) who proceeds to knife me (any COD player knows how embarrassing this is) Well this is getting annoying. Respawn, another grenade and I haven't even moved wtf is this shit?? Respawn, yes, no grenades, ok lets move down here WTF I DIED HOW SNIPER GOD DAMN YOUUUUU. Needless to say I was fuming after this and proceeded to fill faces with lead with abandon and glee.

Now it's your turn, share with the class!

Flying Deathtrap of Craziness - Seriously lame ass name. Playing CoD4, I often encountered the super fabled death cycle. Map - Broadcast. Spawned outside on HCTDM, proceeded to lay waste to my enemies, and then died. Spawned in middle of airstrike (by enemy), died again. Spawned in same location and proceeded to die to it a 3rd time. Then spawned across the map into the building, where I walked 2 steps into a claymore. Which then proceeded to obviously... kill me again.

that culd aparently kill me.
did i save before dying???
ofcours not.

Lol Striid, so I'm not the only one afflicted?

Another one I can probably think of would be again from COD4. Crossfire level. A good level for sniping, so I went for it. At one point I killed two guys with one bullet, which was pretty awesome. And I got a 10 killstreak just sniping, which is hard to do considering people come after you since the killcam gives you away and there are other snipers on the opossing team, so I was proud of that lol

Captain, play hardcore Team Deathmatch. No killcams. Bullet shots from sniping don't give you away (as you don't show up on the minimap, as it doesn't exist (without UAV)).

I never snipe on non-Hardcore Team Deathmatch servers, too easy to be found.

I did Striid. You were right, it is so much better to snipe on Hardcore TDM. I even got the flawless challenge (never die in the match) while sniping and got 7 kills, I found a contender for favorite mode

Another "Oh shi-" moment was again COD4, TDM. My team was trailing from the beginning and the timer was ticking down. In the last minute or so we did one final push and closed the gap to a 10 point difference (aka 1 kill) and with like 3 seconds to go two guys walked through the door I was about to exit, needless to say I pulled the trigger and managed to get both of them, putting our team in the lead by 10 points and the timer ended the match.

No one had mics, but I could almost hear the other team shouting "FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKK"

I've won games like that. I've also won an entire game almost by myself. I once had a HCTDM where I had something like 85 kills. The combined kills of my enemy was 92 kills. We won by 1 kill (aka, my entire team, only had 8 kills besides me.)

And I'm pretty sure no one left mid-match. So it was the same idiots that kept dying over and over.

Another fun thing. I play mostly on a 24/7 HCTDM Broadcast map server (only plays that map). I once had a 11 deathstreak (11 deaths in a row), because I kept spawning right next to enemies. I never had a chance to move more than 5 feet before a claymore, a grenade, or a sprayer killed me. That happens way too often =(

Christ, that's 8 kills per minute, how the hell did you manage that?
Also, screw Broadcast, damn that map to hell and back. And then to hell again.

Broadcast is a really shitty map. But it's really good for mass killing. I've found a spot where I'm almost impossible to kill, but I can shoot down that hallway (the deathtrap one), and get kills like crazy.

Lol forum activity.

Anyway, moar stories, now with moar knives.

Anyone with MW2 who has played Rust knows how confined that map is. Seriously, its fucking tiny. In any case, with so many people so close together its easy to get kills, but also to be killed. So whats a guy to do?

Make a melee class with Marathon (Infinite Sprint), Lightweight (Sprint Faster) and Commando (Longer Melee Range), and attach a tactical knife (Reduce melee time to half) to your pistol, and go crazy. I got my best score ever (32 - 3) with my best streak ever (14) just knifing people. The Predator missile, Harrier Strike and Pave Low (fucking xbox hueg helicopter) helped, but damn that was an awesome match. You get giddy after knifing so many people in a row.
